Lamka, December 02 2009: Saying the recent gruesome and brutal murder of L Reyamkhup Kom has no place in a civilized society, KSO Ghqs issued a statement of condemnation and called upon one and all to follow suit, reports our CCpur correspondent.

The KSO's in a press release appealed to the perpetrators to come forth with the reasons of the killing and refrain from such acts in the future.

"Let us instead try to promote a spirit of fraternity, brotherhood, and co-operation and learn to live in peaceful co-existence and understanding with one another,' it pleaded.

Meanwhile, claiming that unwanted activities of UGs in Khengjoy Block could have harmful and fatal repercussions on the civilian populace, the statement said it stands by the appeal made in this regard by KSO Khengjoy block and Kuki Chiefs' Association Khengjoy block.

Student bodies condemn: Churachandpur District Students' Union and KSO CCpur in separate statements condemned the incident of AR officials using unparliamentary language against a local daily here.

Pledging their support on the cause of the journalist fraternity, both the bodies said it was unfortunate that the press has been accused of having links with UGs.
