Primary Health Centre, Saikul observed World AIDS Day at its premises yesterday.
A rally was also taken out as a part of the observance which was supported by 36 Assam Rifles.
Personnel of 36 AR, teachers, medical staff of the PHC and representatives from different NGOs took part in the rally, said a press release.
Village development committees of Kotlenphai and Molnoi jointly observed the day at Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC), Centre Church, Molnoi area, Chandel.
MLA Thangkholun Haokip and ADP Programme Manager Dr Shameli graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
MIMSARC HIV/AIDS Patients Care Centre, District AIDS Control Committee, Senapati and Bridge of Hope, Kanglatongbi Project Centre also jointly organised World AIDS Day observance at Grace Bhavan, Motbung.

Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch organised a public awareness programme on HIV/AIDS on World AIDS Day.
Information materials on HIV/AIDS were distributed to the public and a group discussion was also held in this connection.
Organisation for Salvation of Men, New Generation and Organisation Social Development jointly observed the day at Moreh, reports our correspondent.
A red ribbon campaign was conducted in connection with the observance.
22 Assam Rifles organised various awareness programmes on the occasion of World AIDS Day.
The unit in collaboration with local PHC organised a 'walk for awareness' at Paomata.
The unit also organised a talk programme at Maram, said a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR (S).
World AIDS Day was also observed at Jirighat Junior High School, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
The function was jointly organised by Child Welfare Ashram, 5 Assam Rifles and Women Health Care Service.
The event was supported by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Imphal under Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
