The Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) has announced today to call a five-day economic blockade starting from midnight of December 5 along the National High-39 leading to Manipur as a mark of anguish at the alleged indifferent attitude of the government of Manipur in addressing various woes of the people.
The demands of the SDSA has been the improvement of the conditions of the NH-39, early release of PDS items, establishments of fire brigade stations at Maram and Tadubi in Senapati district and the establishment of State Bank of India branch in Tadubi.
The SDSA appeals all the transporters and the general public to extend their co-operation in the interest of the people of the state.
It warns to intensify its agitation given the situation that the state government is adamant in addressing the woes of the people regarding the above mentioned points.
