With the objective of promoting co-existence characterised by mutual love and understanding irrespective of religious and ethnic differences, the All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) joined Christmas celebrations in different parts of the State.
A press release issued by All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) informed that it has been ten years since it started celebrating Christmas at Hundung and Siroi villages of Ukhrul district for the first time.
The underlying theme of these Christmas celebration is peaceful co-existence and a prosperous Manipur based on fraternal bond among the indigenous people of Manipur.
This year, AMESCO joined Christmas celebrations and presented gifts at Kalinamei, Rabunamei, Song Song and Sajouba all in Senapati districts.
In Chandel district, it celebrated Christmas at Molnoi, Thamnapokpi, Laishok Ching, Aimol Khullen, Khudengthabi and Leibee.
