State chief minister O Ibobi's scheduled inspection programme to the works progress of the embankment of Imphal River at Moirankhom located just few meter away from his bungalow has been cancelled due to the prevailing law and order situation, a highly reliable source said today.
The chief minister was planned to inspect the site located opposite to the Krishnapremi oil pump at around 10 am but it was cancelled citing the bad law and order problem, the source said.
The chief minister along with his wife Landhoni is also scheduled to leave Imphal on Tuesday for Kolkata.
Before leaving for Kolkata, he will convene a Cabinet meeting with the main agenda SPA 2008-09, source said.
The Cabinet meeting is scheduled at 10 am of Tuesday at the Cabinet room of the chief minister's secretariat.
The meeting will discuss on the progress status of the utilization of the SPA outlay for the current 2008-09 year.
After Cabinet meeting chief minister along with his wife Landhoni will fly to Kolkata for a visit at the Salt Lake in the afternoon flight.
According to the source, the chief minister is planning to visit the place as a part of relaxation and after a day halt there will back on the next day (December 31) to Imphal, the source said.
