Imphal, June 23:
With the Chief Minister still unable to work out the list of the Council of Ministers for the next expansion, despite a meeting with Ahmed Patel and Oscar Fernandes today, he is not likely to return to Imphal tomorrow.
Significantly, MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam was also present at the meeting held today at 1 pm, said a source.
On the other hand a Congress MLA said that a group of CLP members led by a former Chief Minister urged the AICC leadership to either remove Ibobi as Chief Minister or to impose President's Rule in the State.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, a well placed source said that Chief Minister O Ibobi will not return to Imphal tomorrow as reported earlier as no final decision could be taken on the next round of Ministry expansion.
The source further said that a delegation of MLAs met the Union Defence Minister, AK Antony today and urged him to declare the INA complex at Moirang as Army Heritage Centre to boost tourism in the State.
The MLA team was led by former PHED Minister Govindas Konthoujam, said the source.
Other than this the MLAs also highlighted the political situation as well as the law and order situation prevailing in the State, said the source further.
At the moment Gaikhangam and Ibobi are at Delhi.
