The United Committee Manipur (UCM) has distributed cycles and sewing machines to the villagers of Dingpi area today.
In its efforts to help marginalised people of the State residing in far flung areas, UCM distributed the items during a simple function held at Manipur Press Club.

The function was graced by RIMS Director Dr Fimate and UCM president K Langamba as chief guest and president respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, UCM secretary general O Hemanta said that distribution of cycles and sewing machines to the villagers of Dingpi area was a part of its initiative to help marginalised people settling in far flung and remote areas.
During the function bicycles were distributed to the 25 village chiefs of Dingpi area in addition to four sewing machines to four women of the area.
The villagers of Dingpi area who came to attend the function also presented gifts to the UCM volunteers and other people present on the occasion.
A peace cycle rally was staged from the Press Club to UCM office.
