Clarifying that hectic process are on to complete the Kumbi-Saiton road before the onset of the rainy season this year, the Chief Minister, who again holds the Works portfolio, identified special class contractor identified as one L Pumjanang to whom the work had been entrusted/allotted.
He was replying to a poser raised by Kumbi MLA N Mangi's apprehension that works in the said route would cease after WBM work as there is no sign of further activities.
Regarding Saikul AC representative Doukhomang Khongsai's comments, the CM said there is no plan at the current juncture to expand the Imphal-Saikul road.

Paying tribute to the departed MLA, O Ibobi recalled Navakumar's contribution since the incumbent had held important posts in the Education Department and highlighted to the House of the MLA's aspiration and endeavour to transform Sagolmang CHC into functioning and purposeful health care centre.
Lamenting Navakumar's untimely departure as great loss for the manipuri society, Leader of the Opposition Radhabinod Koijam described Navakumar as a considerate individual and great visionary.
