As in the previous years, a team of the Indo-Myanmar Fraternal Alliance would be leaving for Myanmar to participate in Lai Haraoba festivals in places of Meitei settlements in the neighbouring country.
A statement issued by the Alliance informed that the team would participate in Lai Haraoba festivals of Yumjao Lairembi at Garve village of Mandalay beginning from May 25, followed by other Lai Haraoba festivals of Pakhangba at Amrapura, Leimarel Sidabi, Nongpok Ningthou and Panthoibi at Nandaswe village.
The team would also visit Meitei settlements around Mandalay.
On the way back, the team would visit Chiangmai villages inhabited by Shans (Pongs).
During the 15 days long trip, research works would also conducted.
Individuals and groups desirous of contributing towards the Lai Haraoba festivals and interested to join the trip may contact Royal Optical, Governor Road and Mutua Museum Keishamnpat.
