Imphal, February 02 2009:
Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has asserted that the demand of Rs 20 lakhs served by the outfit on DSO Ukhrul and the deadline for the said demand still remains unchanged.
A statement issued by its Information and Publicity secretary C Rocky also extended 'its gratitude' to FCS Minister Y Erabot for his courageous statement against the demand thereby making the people of the State known on the existence of MNRF and the outfit's attitude towards Government officers.
The organisation also extended gratitude to social organisations which are making efforts to bring a solution on the Siroy stand-off.
The outfit also lauded 17 AR for providing medical facilities and refreshments to Siroy locals who are on guard against any eventualities which may arise out of the stand off.
MNRF appreciated 17 AR for providing food packets and water to NSCN(IM) cadres, which according to the outfit is a sign of greatest love and affection towards Naga people.
MNRF also said that it supports State Government's decision that the 'ceasefire' is effective only in Nagaland.
The outfit said that until the Naga problem is solved, Nagas have no right to claim themselves as the citizens of Nagaland.
The Nagas of Manipur are the citizens of Manipur, even though they are Nagas, the outfit said.
MNRF also asked NSCN(IM) to abide by the ground rules of ceasefire and leave the districts of Manipur for their designated camps in Nagaland.
