With verbal assurance from Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) authority, RIMS Nurses' Association has suspended its proposed cease work strike.
However, the nurses will continue to perform duty without wearing uniform until an order is issued to this effect.
According to source from the RIMS Nurses' Association, the association has been demanding the release of Rs 7.29 lakh as uniform allowance, payment of pending arrears, implementation of ACP scheme after the upgradation of RIMS to the status of AIMS.
Nurses of RIMS have been performing their duties without uniform since November 15.The association has also threatened to launch cease work strike from November 30 if their demands are not fulfilled by November 29 .
RIMS authority has given verbal assurance to the nurses that their demand would be fulfilled at the earliest.
The association has decided to suspend its proposed cease work stir.
They would continue to perform duty without wearing uniform until an order effecting the fulfillment of the demands is issued.
