Communist Party of India (CPI) who is also a coalition partner in the Congress led Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government in Manipur has said that the party is always efforting to weaken Congress.
Assistant secretary of the CPI, Manipur State Council, L Sotinkumar speaking at the 2nd annual conference of the All India Forward Block held at Laipham Khunou Community Hall expressed that even though CPI is a coalition partner of Congress in Manipur, at the time of elections, the party will fight with the Congress.
CPI is always efforting to weaken the Congress, he said informing that communist based Left Parties- CPI, CPI(M), Forward Block, RSP etc.- have united only to fight the erase the differences in the country where capitalists earn crores of rupees in a day while poor people earn hardly Rs 20 per day.
In the country where 78 percent of the total heads are living below poverty line, poor could earn hardly Rs 20 in a day.
The objective of communist party is to form a socialist society.
Revolutionary groups operating in the state will be useful if they thoroughly study the ideology of communist, he added.
Delivering key note address of the conference, general secretary of AIFB, Kh Gynenda observed that in order to relief from the present suffering of the people of the state, a concerted effort of the people is a must.
The present government thinks nothing for the welfare of the people.
People need own effort to relief themselves from the clutch of woe.
He also claimed that people started keeping faith with the AIFB which was established by the believers of ideology of Netaji Subaschandra Bose and the party is targeting set up seven more above the existing 16 blocks in the state.
The event was also attended by president of the AIFB, Manipur State Committee, K Bimolchandra, CPI(M) secretariat committee member Ksh Shanta, RSP secretary N Ratan and AISF secretary Kh Gyenenshwor.
