The 11-day long 2nd Manipur Chinjak (food) Festival was winded up today at GM Hall here.
Food items worth around Rs 12lakh were said to be sold during the festival, organised by the Board of Manipur Chinjak Festival.
Three stalls, among the 27 stalls, which sold the highest numbers of food items, were honoured with incentive so as to encourage them.
According to the organisers, the stalls were divided into three categories - objective stalls (indigenous foods), commercial stalls, and innovative stalls.
Ima foods of the commercial stall sold the highest number of items during the festival.
At an average, the stall sold products worth Rs 9,000 all through the day.
The popularity of 'Chahao matum' indicated that the food item can be promoted throughout the country, according to Bikram of Board of Manipur Chinjak festival.
