MSF to inspect availability of fuel in all oil pumps

Considering the hardships being faced by everyone concerned in transporting students to and fro their examination centres following closure of a number of oil pumps in the State, Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) has announced its decision of checking availability of fuels in all the oil pumps.
Talking to mediapersons in this regard, President of MSF L Umakanta stated that closure of certain oil pumps citing non-availability of fuel in the stock has created quite a problem to the parents and guardians of the students appearing in the Class XII exam being conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur.
MSF would be inspecting all the oil pumps in the State to check fuel availability.
And if any oil pumps is found closed even when there is fuel stock, then legal actions would be taken up, he warned.
He also appealed to Education Minister M Okendro Singh, who is also in charge of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, to look into the issue seriously in the interest of the student community and take necessary action against the owners of those oil pumps which are remaining shut taking undue advantage of announcement of bandhs and blockades.
