TSA questions charging more for TET

The Thadou Students' Association (TSA), General Headquarters (TSA-Ghq) has expressed concern on the extra charge of rupees 20 from each applicant of Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) at the time of submitting TET forms at the office of Zonal Education Officer, Kangpokpi, Sadar Hills.
Speaking to Newmai News Network Helun Sitlhou, information secretary of TSA said that the extra expenditure charged from TET applicants of Sadar Hills was not reasonable and odd and advised the authority not to repeat such act in future.
Further informing that another Rs 10 was charged from every TET applicant last year for the issuance of admit cards, the TSA leader appealed the concerned authorities not to do so this time when the candidates come to face the test.
Helun then disclosed that volunteers of TSA will conduct inspection in exam centres under its jurisdiction during the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination and High School Leaving Certificate examination which will be commenced from February 25 and February 27 respectively.
Warning students not to use any unfair means during the examinations, he continued that any student who is found practicing unfair means will be sternly dealt with.
Revealing such measure is for the upliftment of students and for bringing quality education in the State, the TSA leader appealed the general public to extend needed co-operation.
He then expressed best wishes to the students who will be facing the examinations.
