THE BOOKING of train reservation ticket greatly affected since the railway reservation counter at MSRTC complex Moirangkhom remaining in defunct state for the last three consecutive day owing to non-availability of power supply.
The power supply in the government offices including the recently shifted Directorate of Information and Public Relation (DIPR) located inside the MSRTC complex and its surrounding areas has been totally cut-off since Friday as the power line shattered while cutting branches of a banyan tree in the middle of the road along the Indo-Burma Sugnu road at Moirangkhom.
The three continuous disturbances in the power supply have closed down the train reservation counter as they have no other alternative.
The closure has affected not only the people who needed train ticket for going outside the state but also to the sports persons.
Inconveniences also caused when one wanted to cancel his ticket and rescheduling of his journey.
Around 70 people turned to the office for cancellation and rescheduling, officials at the counter said.
The officials further said that from 350 to 400 people converged at the reservation counter for booking train reservation ticket every day for booking train tickets.
The counter is serving the people with the facility of the advance reserve booking for traveling anywhere in the country where there is rail service.
Officials has also lodge complains to the concern authorities on the defunct state of the counter, officials added.
