Imphal, January 17 2009:
Railway ticket reservation at the Computerised Railway Passenger Reservation counter at Moirangkhom MSRTC complex was disrupted for three days after optical fibre connected to the reservation system was snapped while cutting down trees for expansion of NH 39 near Yaiskul Range.
Moreover, irregular power supply is also disturbing railway reservation at the counter.
According to the Station Master of the Railway Reservation counter located inside the MSRTC complex, railway ticket reservation at the counter was suspended since last Thursday following the optical fibre given to the counter on lease by BSNL snapped while felling trees.
After a complaint was lodged at BSNL, the snapped cable line has been restored today.
As such, railway reservation will resume at the counter from tomorrow, informed the Station Master.
However, as it has been informed that power supply would not be regular until the road expansion/repairing work is complete, a power generator has been put on stand-by at the reservation counter.
Although power is indispensable for internet connection, power supply remains quite inefficient, he added.
