The meeting of the Working Group attended by officials of the Union Planning Commission and the State Government which has been going on since yesterday to discuss the annual plan size of the State for the next fiscal year 2009-10 concluded today.
Consequently the final decision on the size of the State plan would be taken in first week of February.
According to an official source, the meeting of the Working Group which has been going on since yesterday conducted sector-wise discussion on proposed plan size of the State for the next fiscal year.
The second and the last day of the meeting chaired by Planning Commission Member in charge of NE TK Chatturvedi has also recommended for finalising the plan size of the State between the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission in first week of February.
Led by Chief Secretary Rakesh, Principal Secretary (Planning), Commissioner, Secretary and other Heads of Departments of the State Government participated in the meeting of the Working Group.
Inclusive of Rs 800 crores under Special Plan Assistance (SPA), the State Government has proposed Rs 2425.12 crores as the plan size of the State for the next fiscal year so as to hike the plan size from the previous fiscal year by 46 percent.
