Imphal, March 29 2009:
The Press Secretary of All India Minority Front (AIMF), Guwahati, Mr Sinha in a press statement said that the National Chief of AIMF, SM Asif in a press conference held at Guwahati on March 29 stated that the AIMF will field its candidates from the state for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections to ensure proper representation to the religious and linguistic minorities and Dalits in the state.
He said that the condition of the minorities is worsening day by day and the government is not cared at all.
He added that the representation of the minorities has decreased in the government jobs and the legislature and the AIMF is committed to end this discrimination.
The Party would field its candidates where the winning possibilities are strong.
He also said that giving voice to the minorities and Dalits is the need of the time and hence the AIMF will now make all efforts to see that all the candidates fielded by it get elected with thumping majority.
Referring to the violators of the code of conduct in the state, he said if Law breakers have to become Law makers than what would be the condition of the country.
He appealed to all the electorates of Assam to ensure that each and every candidate of the AIMF wins with thumping majority so that they could take up the issues of plight of the masses in the house.
