Zone Chairman of Lions Clubs, Lion Omkar Agarwal said he was satisfied on the activities taken up by members of Lions Club Kohima (LCK) on the last many years.
He was addressing the 2nd Zone Meet (Zone-VIII, Region-III) organized by LCK here at Hotel Japfu on Sunday.
He encouraged the members to intensify their activities with more innovative approaches so that more new members would come in the Club.
Stressing the importance of organizing membership drive in vigorous manner, the Chairman urged the members to focus on proper planning to raise fund.
He said they should properly set ideas and programs that would lead to innovating memers to take keen interest in the works and also others to join the world's largest philanthropic organization.
Agarwal also encouraged members in his jurisdiction to share their thoughts and ideas with him anytime and further assured them that he would be always available for his service.
Explaining that apart from the permanent projects of the Clubs, the members should also add new novel ideas to expand their horizon.
On the fund issue, the Zone Chairman said they had to plan out with proper structure and focus on the membership growth, besides they should keep organizing fellowship often within themselves.
Highlighting about the role of women in the Club, he said they should constantly encourage women to join the clubs as their joining the club would enhance not only the activities but also quality service to humanity.
During the interactive session, former LCK President Lion Tali disclosed certain areas where attention should be paid more.
He said District Governor had not paid the LCK for the last 6 years and such development would only discourage others from joining the Club.
Zone Chairman, after patiently hearing to the points, assured that he would try his best to bring the District Governor to the Club at the earliest.
He also further assured that they would try to plug the loopholes wherever they were.
Earlier, welcoming the Zone Chairman and his team, LCK President Lion Dr Sashimeren Aier wished him and his team to have a pleasant stay in the capital.
Members from Lions Clubs falling under the jurisdiction of Zone-VIII, Region-III also attended the Zone Meet.
