In more than one locality people were seen bathing and fetching water beside the streets, a scene never seen before today's commissioning.
According to WL Hangshing, the PHED's Principal Secretary, the augmented scheme commissioned today will benefit around 4,500 households and is expected to cater to 55,441 families by 2020.
