Continuing his tirade against underground organisations, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh said any organisation intervening in the development activities of Manipur are anti-social elements and standing against the general aspiration of prosperity of the State public.
Addressing a public meeting at Noney bazar of Tamenglong district today after laying foundation stones for building constructions of Tenkongjang Higher secondary School, Primary Health Centre and 33/11 KV power station sub-station at Longmai the Chief Minister reiterated to the underground organisation to come to the negotiating table in finding an amicable solution to the insurgency problem instead of scuttling welfare projects pursued by the Government.
Without differentiation of the hill-valley entity the SPF Government has been making all out effort to ensure provision of basic facilities like drinking water, improving power situation, health and education sector, he stated.
Power Minister Gaikhangam graced the occasion as functional president.
The higher secondary and health centre construction activities at Noney sub-division of Tamenglong district is being undertaken by the District Rural Development Agency, Tamenglong under the aegis of Rashtriya Sayam Vikas Yojna scheme.
The estimated cost of PHC building constructions is around Rs 29 lakhs with March month as deadline for completion.
On completion the health centre will have separate male and female wards, injection room, separate rooms for doctors and nurses, one drug store, a dressing room and two special rooms.
Two transformers of 1 MVA capacity each would be installed at the Noney power sub-station being constructed under the Ministry of DONER's funding amounting to Rs 3.83 crores.
Prior to attending the Noney programmes, the Chief Minister also laid foundation stone for installation of a 33/11 KV power sub-station at Maram sub-division of Senapati district capable to catering to electricity demand of 29 villages.
The busy schedule of the Chief Minister today also include foundation stone laying ceremony for 132/22 KV power sub-station at Rengpang village of Tamenglong district.
