Various Kabui women associations have pledged support to demand of Kabui Mothers' Association (KAMA) Manipur to allocate seats for Kabui (Zeliangrong) community at the three women market complexes of Kwairamband bazar.
Langol Tarung Women Welfare Society said that SPF Government is discriminating Kabui people by not allocating seats for the women of the community.
Gui Gailong Development Women Society, Dimdailong Village Women Development Association, Thangmeiband Kabui Women's Organisation, Majorkhul Women Society, Sawombung Kabui Women's Society, Langol Tarung Women Welfare Society and Neikanlong Women Welfare Association also pledged support to any agitation initiated by KAMA in this regard.
Meanwhile, KAMA has announced to stage a sit-in-protest at Kakhulong on November 2 in this connection.
The Zeliangrong women's body in a press release said that the demonstration would be followed by different types of agitation depending on the response of the Government.
