The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur (ZSUM) has condoled the death of four people in a tragic accident which occurred at Tamei where several others were also injured.
Accusing the State Government of not paying any attentions towards development roads in Tamenglong district, the ZSUM asserted that the Government should be held responsible for the tragic accident.
It further demanded the Government to pay compensation to families of the deceased as well as the injured victims.
It also appealed to the Government and concerned contractors to look into the condition of the road at the earliest.
The Zeliangrong Students' Union in its meeting dissolved the house of the Zeliangrong Students' Union, Khoupum Area (ZSUKA) on October 3 .
Election for the next tenure will be held within three months from the day of dissolving the house,
it added.
Meanwhile, the Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur has blamed the State Government for not maintaining IT road properly which resulted in frequent accidents including the recent one in which four persons lost their lives while eleven others sustained injuries.
A press release issued by the Council, nevertheless, thanked 10th Dogra Regiment, social workers and local villagers for their service and support towards the accident victims.
