Imphal, April 07: Cyclone Cricket club defeated Re-youngstar Cricket Club by 70 runs in the opening match of the 3rd Rommel Trophy 2004 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament at THAU Sports Complex today.

Electing to bat first, Cyclone totaled 173 runs (35.2 overs) in the 40 over match with Akshyay Kumar contributing 52 runs (53 balls).

In reply, Re-youngstar were shot out for a paltry 103 runs as Krishna of Cyclone took four wickets from his 6.5 over spell.

He was adjudged man of the match.
