Imphal, April 07: If re-elected to the 14th Lok Sabha, Th Chaoba Singh, BJP candidate for inner Manipur PC said he would try to bring in foreign coach and train the sportspersons in Manipur.

Employment generation is a must and to improve it fish farms at Loktak and Pumlen lakes would be encouraged.

Handloom, horticulture and agro based industries would be initiated throughout Manipur he said.

Only through good governance schemes could be implemented so a dedicated government is required he said.

Good governance, stability, road connectivity will be given priority he said.

H Thangjom, vice-president of the BJP said the party is expecting to get of 27 about 300 seats which is above the magic member of 272 Christians and Muslims have now joined the party he said.

The BJP has five messages.

The messages are 'territorial integrity is our soul' coexistence us our goal, our youths are our future, our women are our inner strengths and integral humanism is our ideology.

Th Chaoba narrating his political career said he participated in social service, sports activities and cooperative movement.

He told about his activities in his capacity as Minister of State, cabinet minister and Deputy Chief Minister in Manipur till 1995.The ICM at Lamphelpat, employment exchange, Merakhong project (which enables double cropping), Waishel project, reservation of Khuman Lampak, giving patta for sportsfield are memorable works done by him.

After elected as an MP in 1996 he gave money from his Rs 2 crores MPLAD fund to help in construction of Mapal Kangjeibung, tree plantation at Mahabali, repair of Lakshmi bazar, library assistance for Nupi Lal memorial complex, sheds at various places, 30 community halls, 450 houses for poor people, club building, crematorium, Nisha bandh offices, drama halls etc.

The sports Academy in Manipur is unique as training in 19 disciplines can be done.

Every year each student is given Rs 50,000 he said.

Sports science centre at Takyel is also a good centre where the physical test of players can be done.

The only other place which have such a centre is Patiala.

He further said Rs 2.5 crores were sanctioned for construction of each youth hostels at Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur.

For outdoor and indoor stadium, money were sanctioned.
