Imphal, January 17: Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club defeated Marhanba Kangjei Lup (A), Lamlai 6-2 in the inaugural match of 15th Men's Governor Cup Polo Tournament and 10th Women's Governor Cup Polo Tournam- ent being held at Mapal Kangjeibung.

S Somorjit, S Bimol and L Girimohan scored two goals each for ThYPC while Ch Umananda and M Ibochouba scored one goal each for MKL.
