Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh while briefing the district Congress workers during the "Political Training of Congress men" here at the Mini Stadium today assured the people of Senapati that the three-point demands namely creation of an SDO office (Headquarters) in the district headquarters, setting up of a fire brigade station and resumption of the CJM courts would be looked into on a priority basis in the district.
It may be mentioned that in 2003 , during the CM�s visit to the district headquarters, he had assured the people about the demands containing four major points including the opening of a DFO office in the district headquarters besides the ones earlier mentioned.
Later, interacting with public leaders and NGOs of the district, the CM and Education Minister Francis Ngajokpa appreciated the initiative taken up by the Poumai Tsiidoumai Me, which submitted their educational tour reports in the Poumai area to the visiting dignitaries.
Francis Ngajokpa , while appreciating the student body also invited all the student bodies of Senapati district, especially the Mao Students Union, Poumai Tsiidoumai Me and Maram Students� Union to meet him and to chalk out future plan of action to maintain the quality of education in the district.
Meanwhile, the Poumai Tsiidoumai Me has also called for a combined meeting of different Govt school heads under district council and under zonal education office falling under Poumai area on January 19 and 20 respectively.
