Imphal, January 17:
District authorities relaxed curfew for the third consecutive day at Moreh from 7 am to 4.30 pm today bringing some respite to the citizens who have been severely affected by the recent killings which had threatened to take a communal hue.
Even though many passengers buses were allowed to proceed to Moreh from Imphal, all of them were turned back from Pallel by the Chandel SP who is presently stationed at Moreh overseeing the security measures there, said sources Except for some vehicles on emergency duties, no vehicles were allowed to leave Moreh.
Business was also seriously affected as there were no customers from Imphal to buy the goods.
