Imphal, October 29:
A mass rally led by the president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, was undertaken today at Hojai town to protest the recent spate of violence between the Karbis and the Dimasas in the Karbi-Anglong district of Assam.
The rallyists shouted slogans like �we condemn violence and feud; restore peace and normalcy and the erstwhile cordial relationship� etc.
Later a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister of Assam through the SDO (civil) of Hojai.
