Reviewing its earlier decision to stop further issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC) to schools seeking affiliation to CBSE or ISCE, the State Cabinet has decided to give the required NOCs to Patkai Christian Academy, Ukhrul and schools located in other district which are seeking affiliation to CBSE.
The Cabinet meeting held yesterday also approved appointment of the 100 graduate teachers and the 100 matriculate teachers whose appointments have been already been approved under Central Sponsored Schemes (CSS) under the 9th Plan but could not be implemented in the 10th Plan.
Giving its nod to amendment of Manipur Engineering and Allied Courses (Selection of Candidates for Admission) Rules, 2004, the Cabinet endorsed inclusion of B Pham Course in the Technical Education stream over and above existing disciplines.
The Cabinet has also approved service extension of the 58 contract employees of Vocational Education in SCERT Department for 9 months from July 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005.Taking a decision on amending existing norm of fixing Rs 150 as daily remuneration for guest lecturers of Environmental Sciences in Government colleges and maximum limit of Rs 5000 in a month so that the daily wage could be increased to Rs 250 while still maintaining the maximum limit as Rs 5000, the Cabinet also decided to drop those guest lecturers who do not qualify NET as per the guidelines of the UGC.
While approving of dismantling of the shops located along BT Road next to Pologround and providing the affected shopkeepers with plots to the markets being constructed, the Cabinet decided to cancel the plots of the allottees who have not yet started the construction work.
