Imphal, October 29:
Reacting to the Imphal East police commando claim, Kuki National Front categorically refuted that Palam Kuki (40) of Nongdom Kuki village, and Khupkhosei Khongsai (45) and Lalboy Kuki (35) of Tuichin village - arrested and branded as KNF activists - do not belong to the outfit.
Contending that the three have no link with the KNF, a statement issued by LH Stephen described them as common people.
Meanwhile, another press release issued by the same outfit expressing grief and condolence at the demise of corporal Paoboi alleged the 14 Assam Rifles of arresting Paoboi from Bongmol village before being murdered in cold blood.
Such practices of custodial killing are in violation of human rights and is a war crime, said the statement.
Contending that Paoboi was on leave due to ill-health, LH Stephen further dismissed the 14 AR claim of Paoboi being involved in highway robbery.
