Imphal, October 02: The Naga Women�s Union, Manipur (NWUM) has expressed its shocked over the of police and CRPF firing on student rallyists at Tura and William Nagar in Garo Hills Region of Meghalaya yesterday which left 11 persons including two students killed and over hundred injured.

Condemning the incident as �dastardly act of the security forces�, MWUM president Grace Shatsang said in a statement that when the law keepers have declared war on the civil population and hunt them down like animals, it portends ill for the future of the land.
