Imphal, February 22: National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Delhi; North East Students' Co-ordination Council, Delhi (NESCOCD) and Indian Youth Congress (IYC) have expressed gratitude to president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and Lok Sabha MP for their tireless efforts, supports and help during the struggle for the cause of North East students in Delhi.

As an outcome of their supports, an exclusive Rajiv Gandhi Women Hostel with 500 capacity had been installed for the North East students in Delhi University on January 7 by the Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh and construction of another separate hostel for working women from North East is under process.

Besides a scholarship[ programme for the ST research scholars would be implemented very soon after the Union Budget session, according to a joint statement.
