Imphal, July 03: Taking serious note of the recent excesses of Assam Rifles personnel, the Manipuri Students Federation today said that the Assam Rifles which was founded in 1835 as Friends of the Hill People has today turned into a killing machine programmed to kill and harass innocent civilians.

Th Manorama was killed not even one year back and today the same security force has beaten to death A Rameshwar after a bomb attack on their convoy.

This clearly testifies that the Assam Rifles today no longer function under any ethics.
