Imphal, July 03:
In a sudden twist to the case of Ahanthem Rameshwar of Bamon Kampu, the family members of the deceased, have today categorically denied having any idea of the content of the agreement signed with the Govt yesterday.
Talking to mediapersons, sister-in-law of the deceased, Ibemcha said that all the elder brothers of Rameshwar who were present during the meeting held at the Chief Minister's office chamber yesterday are illiterate and did not understand the content of the MoU.
Moreover, none of the other representatives who were present at the occasion also tried to explain the matter to them.

Three of his elder brothers, namely Raju, Deben and Rajo had put their signatures on the MoU signed with the Govt yesterday.
Ibemcha said that the local people, expressing their angst over the signing of the MoU had stopped coming to their place to share their sorrows.
The sister-in-law asserted that the family members agreed to take back the body of Rameshwar as they did not want to keep the body for long in a state of uncertainty and there was no question of exchanging the life of his younger brother-in-law with money.
She also denied having knowledge of whether anybody on their behalf had submitted a memorandum to the Government before yesterday's meeting attended by local circle MLA, and representatives of Local Clubs and Pradhan.
