Imphal, June 21: Strongly refuting the claim of some of the State dailies that the youth killed by unidentified persons at Rengkai Nehru Marg under Churachandpur PS on June 19 was a UNLF cadre, Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has clarified that slain youth was a KCP cadre who had been given capital punishment for his anti-party activities.

In a statement, KCP publicity secretary Pibarel Mangang identified the slain youth as Heman Jade (24) of Moirang Panshang Leikai.

Highlighting the anti party activities of Heman, Pibarel said that besides siphoning Rs 15 lakhs meant for purchasing arms from the party's fund Heman also illegally extorted money from the public without the permission of the KCP higher authorities.

He further informed that Hemam conducted his anti party activities when he was in charge of Bishnupur dist as its dist commander.
