Kohima, June 22:
The NSCN (K) has ridiculed the joint statements of the three Naga NGOs - Naga Students Federation (NSF), Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPHR) and Naga Mothers Association (NMA)- that they (three NGOs) were proud to support the NSCN (IM).
The NSCN is not concerned for the NGOss supporting the Indian-made NSCN (IM) who are in Bangkok but it is a matter of fact that neither Isak nor Muivah is returning to Nagaland because of their self creation of deteriorating the Naga society with genocide, alleged the statement of the MIP, NSCN (K), today.
The statement of the NSCN (K) further stated that the three NGOs as well as Naga Hoho which were representing half of the Nagas should rather stick to their social principles than the Indo-Naga political issue.
Besides the Isak group which they supported didnt represent the Nagas, it added.
Therefore, the Isak group with the assistance of these half NGOs could never solve the problems of the Indo-Naga political issue, the NSCN (K) asserted.
The outfit also recalled how the leaderships of the aforesaid NGOs had been keeping constant touch with it since 1997- the year NSCN (IM) had formally declared ceasefire agreement with the Government of India.
But these NGOs had been terribly failing their duties since then and bloodsheds and turmoil ensued in Nagaland were because of this failures (failing duties of NGOs), the statement of the NSCN (K) alleged.
One of the instances is that the leaderships of Naga Hoho and NPMHR met the leaderships of the NSCN on 12th August, 1999 after their meeting with Isak and Muivah in Nuiland, the statement stated.
Shockingly, after one week of this meeting, Dally Mungro was assassinated on August 19, 1999 at 10.30 at night, the NSCN (K) said.
It is a clear indication that the mouths of these NGOs are pure as clearest water but their hands and feet are extremely dirty, the statement explained.
The NSCN (K) called upon the Naga people that time had come for them to have Naga thinkers and intellectuals who must understand that this is history, this is politics and this is Naga issue.People just cant take a dig and say anything as they like, it added.
The NSCN (K) made it clear that the leaderships of it would never oppose any Indian political party in Delhi nor become flesh and blood of those party like Isak group. It said when an appropriate time came; the NSCN (K) would meet all political parties in Delhi because the issue was confined with the involvements of all political parties and the Nagas.
