4 hospitalized after consuming mushroom

Imphal, July 06: Close on the heels of three members of a family dying after eating mushroom dish yesterday and a similar number undergoing treatment, four members of a family have also been admitted at RIMS hospital today for the same case.

The four admitted today include the mother and her three children from Wahengkhuman Mayai Leikai under Nambol police station.

They have been identified as Jhansirani (37) w/o Oinam Chandramani their sons Birchandra (12) and Hemchand and daughter Abema (2).Reports said the victims ate the mushroom (not Narin variety) plucked from their own garden for the morning meal at around 9 and complained of dizziness after consuming the fried dish item.

It may be reminded that four members of a single family from KHURAI Nandeibam Leikai failed to respond to treatment at JN Hospital and RIMS Hospital yesterday where" they were rushed after consuming mushroom dish.
