Ningthouja Lamcha's telefilm Nogdi Tarak-Khidre (but it never rained) has been selected as part of the international selection of the UNESCO-PSBT International film festival to be held at India Habitat centre, New Delhi from Aug 21 to 27 next.
Nongdi Tarak-Khidre is based on the Sahitya Akademi award winning short story Nongdi Tarak-Khidre written by Keisham Priyokumar.
The 39 minute telefilm is the story of a community, unflavored by history, its struggle to survive against the backdrop of the Naga-Kuki ethnic conflict.
Fifteen foreign films, non PSBT Indian films and 21 PSBT Indian films will be take part in the festival.
As a part of the festival there will be an open forum on public service broadcasting and cultural diversity.
Two public seminars on Media and Responsibility, and Diversity and the Media will also be conducted.
