Imphal, August 09: Three persons including a three year old girl were killed and ten others were injured in four separate accidents since yesterday.

The three victims have been identified as Nongmaithem Rockydiana alias Babli (26) of Keishampat Aheibam Leikai, Soibam Yaima (44) of Nambol Awang Jiri and RK Baby Manglemnganbi.

According to reports, Rockydiana was knocked down near ISKCON on Tiddim road by a speeding Maruti Zen while driving a Kinetic Honda yesterday afternoon at around 3.15.She sustained severe head injuries in the accident.

She was immediately rushed to JN Hospital for treatment but failed to respond to medical treatment and breathed her last at around 9.30 last night.

In the second incident, the victim identified as Soibam Yaima who was on his way to 1st MR Family Quarter on a scooter was seriously injured when he met with an accident at Phoijing Awang Leikai at around 6.40 yesterday evening.

He was later admitted at JN Hospital but succumbed to his injuries at around 6.40 this morning.

In another incident yesterday afternoon at around 3, a three year old girl was run over by a truck at Haotabi Bazar under Heingang PS.

The victim later succumbed to her injuries at JN Hospital this morning, said sources.

The girl has been identified as RK Baby Manglemnganbi daughter of RK Sanajaobi of Luwangshangbam Godown Leirak.

All the three bodies have been handed over to their respective family members after post mortem today.

According to another report ten passengers of a canter were seriously injured when the canter they were traveling met with an accident at Paomol Khul near Motbung this morning at around 10.Four of the injured have been admitted at RIMS for medical treatment.
