Imphal, December 27:
Citing numerous cases of power abuse and violation of law, the Kuki Inpi Manipur has drawn the attention of Union Home Minister to the matter.
In a memorandum submitted to Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, it recounted various incidents of atrocities committed by the State Police commandos and armed para military forces particularly on Kukis.
It recounted the alleged cold blooded murder of three Kuki students on October 25, last year at New Checkon by police commandos on the charges that they were Kuki insurgents after which a judicial inquiry was ordered to probe the incident following a hue and cry raised by the public.
However the findings of the inquiry have been kept aside up and no remedial actions were initiated.
The memorandum also mentioned the killing of Manglal Haokip, a KNA cadre holding identity card pertaining to ceasefire with the Indian Army, on August 27, 2005 at Iroishemba.
Further it recounted the killing of KNF Defence Secretary, Mangboi Kipgen on December 21 this year by police commandos during an alleged fake encounter at K Ponlen village.
