Marathon to be held

Churachandpur, June 20 2017:
The district administration, Churachandpur in collaboration with the district police, Churachandpur have scheduled an extensive Marathon on June 26 with the theme 'Choose Life, Say No to Drugs' .
The Marathon aims to spread awareness to the inhabitants of the district on impacts of drugs and to create an opportunity for those people who have the passion of running, conveyed a press release issued by DC and SP of Churachandpur.
It would be significant to let the marathon coincide with the observation of International Day Against Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The organiser has assured cash incentives for the top three slots in a total of four categories.
Registration fee will be Rs 100 and the participants will be categorized into four based on their gender and age with both the genders to be further split into senior and junior categories.
About hundred medals will be handed to the deserving runners and a complimentary T-shirt, that exhibit messages against drug abuse, will also be given to the participants.
The organisers have requested all the interested to register at the office of the SP, Churachandpur by 5 pm of June 24 .
Meanwhile, SP, Churachandpur Rakesh Balwal has launched a road safety campaign for traffic police at around 11 am today.
The campaign was intended to share awareness on safe driving.
Pamphlets were also circulated to the people by personnel of the traffic police.
