9th M Manindra Memorial meritorious award distributed

Students of Moirang who secured position and scored above 70 percent were felicitated today at INA memorial hall where they were awarded with the 9th M Manindra memorial meritorious award.
The ceremony was jointly organised by M Manindra Memorial Trust and Moirang Kendra Youth Congress.
A total of 43 meritorious students including 32-1st Divisioners of class X (State Board), 9-1st Divisioners of class XII Science (COHSEM), 21st position holder of class X Rakesh Keisham from Kwakta Santhong, 6th position holder of class XII Science Biswanath Konjengbam from Moirang Khuman Leikai were awarded with cash prize.
Besides the students, eminent personalities of Moirang Kendra who have been recognised in the feild of Art and Culture were also awarded with mementos.
The teaching staff, non-teaching staff, Principal and founder of New Model Public School were awarded with simple gifts for producing position holders in the HSLC examination of Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) for two consecutive years.
The meritorious award was presented in the name of late Mairembam Manindra who was the MLA of Moirang AC.
Floral tributes were also paid to the photo of the late MLA.
The ceremony was attended by former Education Minister M Okendro Singh, MPCC general secretary RK Imo Singh, MPCC vice-president T Mangibabu Singh, former Parliamentary of MOBC Md Amin Shah, former Oinam AC MLA Dr I Ibohalbi, former Konthoujam AC MLA K Sharat Singh and Chairman of the Trust M Prithviraj Singh as dignitaries.
Councillors of Moirang and Kwakta Municipal Council also took part in the award distribution programme.
