Imphal, January 20: GYA, Gaidimjang spikers claimed the 5th District Level Sazangliu Gangmei memorial Volleyball tournament title beating NYC, Muktina.

BLG, Lwangrang secured the third position of the tournament organised by Sazangliu Memorial Volleyball Trophy Committee at Bwanruangh (Taodaijang) of Nungba sub-division in Churachandpur district from January 11 till 15.RYDO, Rangpang was declared as the best discipline team with Gaithuingam of GYA and Gaikhangsin of NYC bagging the best spiker and best player titles respectively.

The tournament was participated by 18 teams from various parts of the district and was conducted under the supervision of Ram Singh Khaidem.

The opening ceremony was held with Tamenglong District Deputy Commissioner Thaithuilung Pamei as the chief guest.
