Imphal, January 20: RIMS authorities would not remain silent but will take appropriate steps if any attempt is made to shift the premier hospital to any other State, said Director of RIMS Prof L Fimate.

Speaking at a conference held under the theme "Database of medical and paramedical personnel in Manipur" at RIMS Jubilee Hall today, Prof L Fimate informed that reports about shifting RIMS to another State due to the prevailing law and order situation have been received in the recent past and the RIMS authorities have taken the matter very seriously.

Stating that there was no dearth of talent in the Institute, Prof Fimate appealed to one and all to create a congenial atmosphere so that the staffs in general and doctors in particular can render their valuable service to the public.
