The 34th Kuki National Prayer Day was conducted at Pallel Molnoi KBC Centre church on October 19 and 20 with more than 400 participants.
A statement issued by Kuki Nampi Taokham (KNT) informed that fasting prayer was started in 1988 by Pu Helkhoon Haokip and a few of his friends.
The prayer was previously conducted atop the Koubru hills.
It was a national prayer of the Kukis with the firm belief that God will bless Kukis to become a distinctive people.
The performance also featured gospel songs, exorcising speeches, gospel messages besides fasting prayers.
The aims and objectives of the KNT is to pray to God for His blessings upon the Kukis and all the people of Manipur so that peace and prosperity prevail in the State, mentioned the statement.
