Imphal, October 21:
Over 480 loaded vehicles stranded at Khatkati of Assam since october 11 have been escorted back safely to Imphal today.
According to police source, the vehicles under heavy security cover crossed Mao Gate by 4 pm and include 100 LPG carriers and same number of fuel tankers.
It may be noted that due to intimidation by unidentified youths at Khatkati and ongoing economic blockade imposed along the two NHs the truckers were stuck at Assam resulting in shortages of cooking gases fuel outlets running dry.
