Imphal, April 11:
Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQs IGAR (South) and COMFORD jointly organised a disability assessment camp at Loitang Khunou village yesterday, informed a PIB Defence Wing release.
Two physiotherapists, one psychologist, one speech therapist and one audiologist were present to diagnose the patients.
Around 196 patients were treated during the camp, according to the release.
The camp attempts to address the problems being faced by disabled persons and assist them by providing necessary medical aids and equipment.
Disabled persons, the elderly and the young gathered at the post to get a measure of the cause and extend of their disability and possible remedies.
