Imphal, September 11, 2009:
Exerting pressure upon the Government to honour demand concerning reservation of physically challenged persons in the recruitment of primary level school teachers under Autonomous District Council, the All Tribal Disable Union has proclaimed imposition of 48 hours chakka bandh in the hill districts from 4 am of September 13. Interacting with newspersons at its Chingmeirong office today, Union president Momo Tamtunga decried that State government had been depriving eligible candidates mandatory quota of 3 percent as prescribed under the Disability Act.
